Helping your child develop to the best of his/her abilities

I am a neuropsychologist, member of the Quebec Order of Psychologists, since 2016. I hold an attestation to carry out neuropsychological assessments. My doctoral studies were carried out in the Department of Psychology at the University of Montreal in the program Research and Intervention in Clinical Neuropsychology. My doctoral thesis, accepted with a mention of excellence, focused on visual perception in people with autism spectrum disorder. During my studies, I completed several internships in various public settings, such as the Montreal Neurological Institute, the Douglas Mental Health University Institute and the Montreal Mental Health University Institute.

Since completing my studies, I have worked in various private settings where I have performed hundreds of neuropsychological assessments. As part of my work, I also supervise students doing their doctoral studies in neuropsychology, and I regularly act as a consultant to guide other professionals in dealing with their clients.

I am passionated about neuropsychology and love working with children, their families and related professionals who are also implicated in the child's follow-ups. I follow a biopsychosocial framework while incorporating a systemic approach, seeking to incorporate in the evaluation process everyone who have a role in the development of the child.

On a personal note, in addition to loving children and having three of my own, I am an animal lover and am planning in a recent future to offer services in Zootherapy with the assistance of my Bernedoodle, Sunny.

Looking forward to meeting you.

The team

Here is the team that supports me in order to better serve you.

Erika received her PhD in Clinical Psychology with a specialization in Neuropsychology from McGill University. She completed extensive training in psychotherapy and adult and pediatric neuropsychology at the Montreal General Hospital, the Allan Memorial Institute, and the Montreal Neurological Institute. She also conducted neuropsychological assessments on children at the Montreal Children's Hospital as part of a multicenter research study investigating the impact of early-life sedation on cognitive function.

Erika offers comprehensive neuropsychological assessments, in English and French, for children with a wide range of cognitive difficulties. Her expertise includes assessments for neurodevelopmental disorders (e.g., ADHD and learning disabilities) and psychoeducational assessments, including assessments for school exemption requests. During these assessments, she strives to identify each child's strengths and areas for improvement.

Erika takes a rigorous and collaborative approach, working closely with families to provide practical recommendations that support their child's development and daily functioning.
